T-style build with a ’72 custom layout.
This guitar is a tribute to my love for Telecasters – especially the ’72 Custom line. Featuring a traditional ‘ashtray’ bridge with a hot single-coil pickup, a wide-range humbucker in the neck, and Gibson-style controls, it embodies the ultimate Tele.
This is my take on it.

The body is built from two pieces of swamp ash with a spalted beech top, featuring a clean, pickguard-free design. The pickup is mounted directly onto the top, letting the wood’s natural beauty shine.

It features a thick (2mm) binding on both the top and back, with the back and sides stained black for contrast. The top is finished in high-gloss nitro, while the rest of the instrument has a very thin coat of semi-satin poly.

The neck is built from maple, featuring a flamed sycamore fretboard with black binding, black block inlays, and abalone side dots.
The guitar turned out better than expected. It is very lightweight, resonant and sounding fantastic. It’s the fist tele of many to come!
